PERSONALITY: Ben is the type of guy that on the outside appears to be pretty strong and manly. He’s spontaneous and doesn’t always think things through before acting. Actually, most of the time he doesn’t think before acting. While that tends to get him into trouble, sometimes it helps him; he thinks quickly on his feet and that helps him get out of awkward situations or sometimes even the trouble that his quick thinking mind got him into in the first place. He’s highly energetic and loves to be around people, though he prefers to bother girls because, well, he’s quite attracted to them and the more he hangs out with them, the better chance he’ll get at having a girlfriend.
And if he did end up getting a girlfriend, there’s one thing he’ll be: protective. He’s not the type to let someone he loves get kicked around by other people. Even beyond romantic relationships, he’s very loyal and doesn’t let people push around his friends. He’s quick to defend people, even if it will get him into some sort of trouble. He thinks it’s worth it, so long as the one he’s defending ends up alright in the end. But despite all of his more manly, strong characteristics, deep down he’s really a softy. Alright, maybe not that deep down, since he’s pretty open about being a softy. He loves holding a girl in his arms, cuddling and whatnot. He’s very affectionate and doesn’t care if people see that he has feelings for someone.

HISTORY: Benjamin was the second child born to Robin and Andrew Wilkes. Robin and Andrew waited some time before they had kids, wanting to enjoy married life before throwing dirty diapers in the mix. When Robin was 29 and Andrew was 27, they decided to have their first kid, a little girl. The next year Benjamin came rolling around. They wanted kids but didn’t want them to be that far apart in age in hopes that they would grow up better friends if they were closer in age. It worked, for the most part, and Benjamin now gets along very well with his big sister. Of course, when they were growing up they had the typical brother-sister relationship where he bugged the hell out of her and drew on the faces of her Barbie dolls.
He grew up in both the muggle world and the wizarding world. His father had a muggle job, but his mother had a witching job. She managed to find a job-- being a midwife-- that could transfer over to the muggle world if they ever needed to survive there completely. Because of that, Benjamin grew up not really caring whether someone was a witch or a muggle. To him, people were just people. He joined a muggle soccer league when he was three and fell in love with the sport. For the first few years, it was mostly just running around and falling flat on his face, but eventually he and the other kids grew into the sport and learned how to play properly. Once he got accepted into Hogwarts, he could only really play soccer in the summer. It bummed him out, but he did join the Quidditch team once he was good enough at flying. For awhile he was a chaser, but when the seeker left the team, he was offered the spot. He had always wanted to be the seeker, but didn’t get the chance. Now that he’s the seeker, he couldn’t be more happy.
Aside from that, there haven’t really been any climactic moments in Benjamin’s life. He sort of feels like he’s waiting for something interesting to happen, but he can’t quite figure out what it is. Instead he just stumbles about Hogwarts, getting into trouble and bothering people, while being his usual chipper, energetic self. He doesn’t have any plans for what he wants to do when he gets out of Hogwarts. When he was a kid he wanted to be a professional soccer player, but being at Hogwarts for most of the year sort of killed that dream. He’s debating trying to be a professional Quidditch player, but at the same time he thinks he’s a bit too young to be making any big life decisions.
