PERSONALITY:
Travis is the type of guy that every girl seems to fall for, but none of the guys can figure out why. He’s roguishly good-looking, unnaturally intelligent, athletic, and has a “mysterious” side, but frankly, he is an asshole. Like every Ravenclaw before him, he is quite bookish: catches onto things quickly, always eager to learn, tries his best in everything, and has amazing potential. This has given him quite the ego. However, despite his arrogance, he hates being in the spotlight. He likes to be busy; if he’s not doing schoolwork or practicing Quidditch, he’s drawing or running or working out. Even though he is known to be extremely smart and loves learning, Travis has a strong hatred for the educational system. For example, he feels that if he knows something, he doesn’t need to show up to class or do his homework.
Travis is not afraid to say exactly what’s on his mind; this often gets him into trouble with the teachers. Additionally, his characteristic trait is his tendency to be a recluse. He hates social gatherings, and finds most people annoying. He’s very good at reading people; he often knows way too much about a person, and can figure out your thoughts/personality just by your facial expression. However, despite his many social faults, Travis still manages to have some sort of a following at Hogwarts because of his appearance, smarts, athleticism, and snarky, rebellious attitude. Of course, this also means he has gained a lot of enemies.

HISTORY:
The McLaggen’s have a long history of success and wizarding blood, so it was only natural that Jenna and Louis produce two very fine, Ravenclaw boys. Travis was close to his brother, in age and in relationship. Often, the only person they had was each other; because their parents were so busy all the time, the two often were neglected. However, they were left with a lot of responsibility and virtually no rules, contributing very much to Travis’s modern-day personality.
The only strong adult influence on Travis’s life was his uncle, Jack. Jack worked with Muggles and introduced Travis to Muggle sports as well as trained him in Quidditch since he was old enough to walk. Even though Trav had shown magical signs since birth, he was extremely proud when his Hogwarts letter arrived a year after his brother. However, his uncle never had a chance to see him off to school; he died by Vanishing Sickness right before his first year.
Therefore, Travis went into school being very distraught, reclusive, and quite short – traits that have not disappeared and have made him infamous to his classmates. He was instantly placed at the top of his class. He earned girls’ attention from day one, but he’s yet to treat one very well since. His brother was much more popular than he; he was able to keep girlfriends and have real friends instead of a ‘following.’ In his 3rd year, he became the Ravenclaw Keeper. He’s also kept up with art when he has free time, but nobody knows about that as of yet.
