UNFOGGING THE FUTURE

Unfogging Hogwarts Future is an AU (Alternate Universe) forum-based role-playing game based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books and Warner Bros. Harry Potter movies. It is set in the modern-day period Hogwarts and Wizarding Britain with the possibility of expanding to other parts of the Wizarding world. Significant elements found in the Harry Potter series such as Quidditch, the Ministry of Magic, Hogwarts, or Diagon Alley are incorporated in this game to allow its players to experience as much as they can the world that supposedly belongs only to the books and the movies.
Unfogging Hogwarts Future faces the same debate as the books --- good Magic vs. Dark Magic. The two opposing Wizard organizations, The Order of The Phoenix and The Death Eaters, exist in this universe. They do not necessarily have the same history as the canon versions, but they have the same motives, same beliefs, and same agendas.
The Order of The Phoenix is an organization established by a group of Witches and Wizards fighting against the Dark Lord (and his followers) and protecting mankind. The latter may seem like a pretty big job for a small organization, but the mere battle against the Dark Lord and The Death Eaters already involves ensuring mankind's safety and survival. Without The Order of The Phoenix, evil will prevail and the world will be run by the Dark Lord.
The Death Eaters are the followers of the Dark Lord. So, who is this Dark Lord anyway? As of the moment, no one outside of the Death Eaters inner circle knows. Only a chosen few are allowed to face the Dark Lord. He and his followers aim to rule the world with Dark Magic. Death Eaters are capable of harming, torturing, or even killing those who oppose them.
The two sides are in battle. The Order of The Phoenix does everything in its power to at least keep the war from affecting innocent people. However, The Death Eaters are not picky with their victims. They do not hesitate to perform the Unforgivable Curses on anyone who stands in their way. The Order of The Phoenix aims to stop these crimes and restore peace, order, and balance in the Wizarding world.
The question here is: Which side are you on?
With Voldemort finally defeated and Hogwarts fixed up it seemed that everyone was once again at peace in the Wizarding community.
Hogwarts has started up a new tradition, one that happens every three years. It’s much like the Tri-Wizard Tournament, only with this tournament it’s between the four houses of Hogwarts. Another interhouse competition, other than Quidditch, is going on and there are many tasks at hand. Will you be chosen as your house’s champion? And can you make it to the top and be the Hogwarts Champion? It’s a great title for yourself and many stories you can tell your children later.
Only this year something’s different about the tournament. Things keep happening to students and many wind up knocked out in the Hospital Wing with some sort of curse. Who is behind these attacks on the students? Is there a student at Hogwarts that is trying to become the next Dark Lord? Or perhaps it is one of the teachers? Only time will tell and many of the students and staff are in fear for their lives, the only thing that’s keeping them going is that no one has died, yet.
