Eudora spun her wedding ring on the table, looking at it. She’d been here for half an hour, eating her huge bowl of ice cream. Chocolate, strawberry, some rainbow coloured one that she didn’t know the flavour of, and mint. It wasn’t her wedding ring anymore. She was officially divorced. Single once more. The blonde bit down on her lower lip as she thought about that. What did it mean? She hadn’t really been married for years. She had practically lived a single lifestyle over the last few years. There wasn’t much to be celebrating about. Even the brief high that she had gotten after meeting Dec and his teenage girlfriend wasn’t something worth mentioning. There were certainly better ways to announce that a boyfriend was actually married.
Sighing, the blonde scooped up another spoonful of her ice cream and turned her mind to the other issue that was bothering her. She needed to get another job. As in another modeling job. The thought of sitting at a desk pushing papers didn’t appeal to Eudora. Neither did any other job at the Ministry. Obliviating? No, thank you. Unspeakable? She liked to talk about her work, grumble or praise it. Politics was never her strong suit. She supposed she could apply for a position in the British Embassy to Greece, but Eudora didn’t fancy being in Greece all the time. Eudora wasn’t much of a Healer either. Quidditch was most certainly not her thing. So really, modeling was something she liked to do and was good at. Though her father would argue anyone could be good at modeling.
Her father. Eudora semi groaned at the thought of her father. The man had not been pleased when she married Declan and when she sent a letter to inform her parents that she was divorced, she didn’t get any reply. At least her brother, Eros, replied her. The man was an Auror and busy. Eudora could go to the Ministry and look for him. She might just do that. Spinning the ring once again, Eudora watched as it slowly spun towards the edge of the table. She didn’t know what to do with the ring. Sell it to get money? Return it to Declan? The ring fell off the table and rolled off. Perhaps she could just let someone else pick it up. That sounded like a good idea.

Evan wasn't a creeper, he swears it. But what he was doing could kind of be considered actions of those of a creeper. Or stalker. It was his day off from teaching at the school and, well, he wanted- needed to talk to Eudora. Declan had told him what she did and Evan wasn't at all happy at her actions and decided to find her. He knew people that could help him out and someone -not naming any names- told him she was in Diagon Alley, the rest of the searching he could do himself. She didn't really visit certain types of shops, so he knew what he could rule out. She wasn't that into Quidditch, maybe a Potions shop, she didn't like Wizards fashion since she worked in the muggle world but he did know she liked the food. Well, either food or pet stores, but food was the answer that was more likely.
He checked some of the resturants and food stands down here -noticing it was more empty than when it's being swarmed by children and their parents, getting ready for the school year- and, well, checked a pet store just because he liked pets. He was about to give up hope when he saw her through the window of the ice cream parlour. He stood there for awhile, not knowing if he should just walk in and sit down with her, or pretend not to notice her and then walk in. He ran off to the quidditch store and looked at the brooms. He needed a new broom, anyways, but he thought that it would be a good idea to look like he had been shopping down here. He bought a new broom -not the most expensive, though not the cheapest, he just needed something new- and began to walk back to he ice cream parlour.
He entered the shop and went to the ice cream, instantly, looking at the choices. "Would it be possible to get a vanilla milkshake?" he asked, laying down a sickle and a few knuts. He waited for his snack to come and took it, taking a sip and walking near the door when he noticed something shiny on the floor. He reached down and picked it up; it was Eudora's wedding ring. He looked over where she was sitting and put on his best poker face as he walked over. "May I sit?" he asked, though sitting anyways with out an answer. It wasn't usually like him to do that, but he needed to talk to her.
"Eudora," he said, placing her ring on the middle of the table. "I heard about what you did to Declan and Jo. Can you tell me why? Did you seriously have to go out wit ha bang? Couldn't you just sign the papers and let him be?" he said, scowling. Oh gosh, he was getting angry right now. That was new. "Oh. Sorry. I shouldn't have started out with that. Um. Hello, how are you?" He asked, hoping that he wasn't pushing her away by instantly yelling at her. Well, not yelling. But it sounded like yelling in here; it was pretty empty. He waited for her to talk, and then finish, before talking again. "Do you realize what you've done to Jo? She used to help me out with my teaching plans, now she doesn't even show up for meals. Did you really have to do that? She's just a girl. So what if she likes Declan? So what?! What right did you have to do that to her?"

Eudora glanced about to determine where the ring had landed, and she spotted it after a few moments. It was not the only thing she spotted. Evan. The blonde sighed, shifted in her chair and started to scoop ice cream into her mouth. He was going to want to know why she went to find Declan and Jo. He was going to talk about them. But mostly about why she decided to yell at Jo. Actually, she didn't really yell at her. Eudora just opened up her eyes to the fact that Declan was lying to her.
She looked up at him when he approached, and before she could even reply him, he sat down. Well, that was unexpected. Her eyes landed on her ring as she ate her ice cream. That's it. She was going to sell it. Eudora took it and while Evan started on his interrogation, she slipped the ring back into the chain around her neck. His anger did surprise her and the scowl on his face was so uncharacteristic that Eudora couldn't help but smile. Even better was when he realised he was getting angry and apologised. She let out a soft laugh.
“Evan. Don't apologise after you get angry. It just takes away the impact.” Eudora informed him. The blonde pushed away her bowl of ice cream, wondering why she was subjecting herself to Evan's questions. “Yes, I had to go out with a bang. No, I couldn't just sign the papers. And she will get over it.” Eudora replied directly. She wasn't being callous. But was it entirely her fault? “I can't imagine she wouldn't have had the same reaction if Declan had told her he was married. Oh sure, he would have been so much more kinder than me when I told her. He'd arrange a sweet romantic night and then spill the news that he had a wife. I'm positive that will ease her pain.” Eudora gave Evan a look that suggested she wasn't exactly thrilled with his tone.

"I'm sorry," he said, before realizing how stupid it sounded. Apologizing for apologizing? Yup, that was Evan for you. He just wasn't used to arguments, unless it was deciding how much he was to be paid for a job. Then again, that wasn't really an argument, that was a business discussion. He didn't really get in arguments all that often, because, well, he was a liked guy. Who wanted to argue with the guy who not only could heal your child very easily and fought against the Death Eaters? And even when people got angry with him, blaming him for a loved ones death because he could not heal them, due to various reasons, he never became angry. The weight of a healer, watching people die because you came too late or couldn't figure out what the person had that made them ill.
"What if Jo doesn't? You didn't ruin your ex-husbands chance at love. You ruined my bestfriends chance at a new love," he said. Oh, now he was getting even more angry. This wasn't good. "It's not always about you, Eudora. It never is. I treated you like the only thing in my world, because you were...are. But what did you do when I confessed? You ran off. You said you didn't like me. How do you think that made me feel?" he asked her, but then continued on. He was angry for one of the few times in his life, he wasn't going to let her off the hook now. "I was Declan's best man at your wedding. Imagine that kind of pain I went through watching you marry my best friend. The only think that made me think it was alright was that you were happy with him.
"I kept you company over the years as your marriage began to fail. I spend all my money on you, because I thought you were worth it. I can't say what you did to Declan and Jo makes me love you any less, but what you did will not sit well with me," he growled. A pause, then he sighed, weary, as he dropped his head, looking down at his lap and dragged his hands through his floppy hair. He waited a little bit, hoping to avoid any kind of glare or stare she would be throwing at him, if she hadn't taken his words to heart. "Sorry."
