PERSONALITY: It would be too broad of a statement to say that Driscoll is a stereotypical Slytherin. While the traditional traits do apply to him, there is more than meets the stereotypes. Sticking to the stereotypes, though, Duke could be the poster-child of Slytherin. Brought up in a house built upon the idea of Power, he carries the ambitious trait with pride. Everything (well, mostly everything) he does with the idea that he'll make it through on top. His greatest fear is to fail at whatever he does; even tossing a paper at a wastebasket and missing upsets him. He's also quick on his feet, quick-witted, and sharp-tongued. He'll shout out an answer in class once he knows he's got it, but on the same note, he won't hold back an insult on someone. It isn't so much that he's hot-tempered, he just speaks his mind freely.
Going outside the Slytherin-style, Driscoll has inherited a few qualities from his family. Being the eldest of two, he feels as though he needs to always be in control of the situation-if to be a prat or to help someone out. He feels better when he's in control of what's going on. From his Irish heritage, he's snagged up the Fighting Irish trait. He won't ever back down from a fight, physical or verbal. Personally, he prefers physical, thanks to fighting with his many Irish cousins. It's where he got his nickname, Duke, from. "Put up your dukes!" he'd yell at his cousins, and there on out, his family took to calling him it. He isn't super muscular, but he isn't scrawny whatsoever. Duke also enjoys silence, and being left alone for that matter. When he isn't parading around, yelling at people, he's found in his dormitory, reading a book. The silence, he finds, is calming.
Like any hormonal boy, he has a thing for the ladies. He somehow always finds himself navigating towards a girl he fancies. Being quite the flirt, he's had his ups and downs with girls; some find his flirting cute and play along, other see him as pushy and tell him to shove off. Either way, he can be found following after girl, whether it's because he'd like his get his hands on her or get his hands on her homework. Setting aside his Slytherin-side, Driscoll can be a decent guy, as long as you're on his good side, that is.

MOTHER: Casandra Victoria McMahn, 37, Housewife, Neutral, Slytherin
FATHER: Brigham Eral Theobald, 40, Executioner of Dangerous Animals, Death Eater Supporter, Slytherin
SIBLINGS: Duglas Quinn Theobald, 11, Neutral, Slytherin
OTHER IMPORTANT FIGURES: Veronica, pet slamander
BIRTHPLACE: Ireland
CURRENT RESIDENCE: England
HISTORY: Casandra McMahn came from a respectable, pureblood wizarding family, and was indeed purely Irish as well. The McMahns traditionally fell into two houses at Hogwarts, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Casandra, herself, fell into Slytherin. She wasn't as harsh as some people reported Slytherins being, but she wasn't going to let herself be pushed around. Brigham Theobald was, too, from a respectable, pureblood wizarding family. His family wasn't the wealthiest, but they sure were not in fear of going broke anytime soon. The Theobalds had lived in England for centuries, and were of blood mixed with Irish, Scottish, and English. It was no surprise to his parents when he entered Slytherin as a first year; his family was filled with Slytherins. The two had never met at Hogwarts, but on a trip to Ireland for business, 22 year old Brigham saw 19 year old Casandra, and fell in love. Brigham had decided to stay in Ireland longer than planned just to see her. They dated for only a few short months before Brigham proposed. Casandra herself wasn't sure she was ready, but didn't want to disappoint her family, as they all were hoping she would marry the wealthy pureblood. She figured, in time, she would grow to truly love him. It wasn't that she didn't care for him, she just wasn't sure if it was true love, or puppy love. It was nearly a year later that a new addition to the family was being introduced.
Born in his mother's homeland, Driscoll Dallas Theobald was the first born child to the young couple. He resembled his father greatly, with his dark hair, but had his mother's pale skin. It must have been the birth of their child that made Casandra see how much she truly loved Brigham, because shortly after the birth, the young family packed up and moved to England; Casandra waving good-bye to the only life she had ever known.
Despite the distance, the Theobalds made regular trips to Ireland, and Driscoll grew up with memories of spending summers with his Irish cousins. He learned to fight with them, where he gained the nickname "Duke" for constantly telling people to "put up your dukes!". He was in very many ways like his father, ambitious and control-hungry, but he took on his mother's quiet intelligence, preferring a quiet day reading to a day of running around screaming. He was the perfect balance of his parents' personalities. Everyone all but knew that he would end up in Slytherin like them. Needless to say, Brigham had high expectations for his first born son. He wanted him to be the miniature version of himself, taking on the job as a Dangerous Animal Executioner. The job was high-paying, and people often feared Brigham's appearance if they had pets. It gained him respect, money, and a little bit of authority over others. His father often yelled at him if he messed up, causing him to fear any sort of failure. He didn't want to disappoint and shame the family name.
At seven years old, Driscoll was no longer the only child of Brigham and Casandra. Duglas was introduced into the family. Duke felt somewhat jealous of the new addition and all his attention, but couldn't help but adore his younger brother as well. He took care of him, as any good big brother should, but didn't hesitate to make sure that little Duglas knew who was boss around the house.
Entering Hogwarts, Driscoll landed himself in Slytherin as expected. He remained an average student there; not exactly popular, but had plenty of friends to call his own, not the brightest, but wasn't nearly dimwitted at all. He was extraordinarily average. It wasn't necessarily a pleasing thought, to be average, but as long as he was doing better than others, he wasn't going to stress himself out. His father, of course, pushed him to be better. But deep down, Driscoll doesn't want to have his father's job, he'd much rather a job that worked with books more. Or maybe even becoming a Professional Dueler. Either one seemed more exciting than disposing of harmful animals.
Being raised under his father's eye, Duke has gained one thing he's like from him, and that's his father's support of the Death Eaters. Brigham himself isn't one, he doesn't want to ruin his career, but fully supports them regardless. Driscoll himself is quite fascinated with the Death Eaters' views. Pureblood wizards ruling the world, disposing of the less-worthy. It seemed like the kind of world he would want to live in.

RP SAMPLE: "You know, you're kind of cute when you're angry," the strange man next to her commented. He grinned, winking at her. Fionn frowned deeper. She was already in a pissy mood because she had to run here in the rain, and now some strange guy was hitting on her. Normally, compliments made her blush and smile. But not when it was commenting on the status of her mood. Especially when she was angry.
Ever since she walked into the small restraunt, completely soaked from the pouring rain outside, the man had been trying to make small talk to her. He kept asking her if she was okay, how her day was, asking what she was going to get to eat, if he could join her. She merely answered with grunts and headshakes, as she took off her drenched coat. But the guy would not let up. What was he? A cocky high school student? By the looks of him, he had to be her age or a little older. But he sure wasn't acting like it.
"Buzz off," she muttered, stabbing a glare in his direction. This only made the man's grin wider. Finny rolled her eyes, and stalked off in the opposite direction, dragging her wet coat behind her. She didn't need this right now. She had more important things to do, like buy lunch and sulk in silence. The guy followed her as she stormed off, she could hear his steps behind her. She stopped abruptly, and turned around, catching her stalker off guard. He grinned at her after the moment of shock wore off. "You can't resist, I can tell," he commented, bouncing his eyebrows.
That had nearly done her in. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to gain control of her temper, then opened them back up, continuing her glare at the man. Taking her coat in both hands, she held it in front of her, then shook it violently, sending water all over the place, mostly on the guy. He stepped back, laughing loudly, and in his moment of distraction, Fionn turned around again and started walking away. She just wanted food. Why wouldn't this guy take a hint, and get lost?
Again, she heard him following him, but this time she decided to ignore him compeletly; she didn't need to lose her control. Then, he grabbed her shoulder. Not rough or anything, merely a light touch with his hand to get her attention. "Hey, c'mon. Lemme pay for your food," he said. Fionn stopped dead in her tracks. She did not appreciate people touching her, especially those she did not know. She whipped back around, all control lost. As she turned, all the chairs, including ones holding people, at the small tables scraped across the floor, gravitating toward the two. "Don't touch me," she growled through gritted teeth. The guy stepped back, stunned by her anger, and being suddenly surronded by chairs. "What the hell..." he mumbled, backing away, hands up in defense.
Fionn calmed down, and smiled. He was leaving her alone finally. It wasn't until he was out the door did she notice all the stares in her direction. That almost set her off again. She didn't like being stared at almost as much as she didn't like being touched by a stranger. But she quickly understood why, as she looked around and found chairs all around her. "Oops.." she muttered, blushing with embarrassment. Sighing, she pulled on her coat, already hearing the shouts from the manager for her to leave the facility before he called the cops. She quickly and quietly made her exit into the pouring rain, leaving the shocked bystanders behind.
Sometimes, being emotionally challenged, as Remond called it, was rather irritating.
