PERSONALITY: Most people who meet Veda would say she was a pretty decent and down to earth person. She enjoys meeting new people and is always open to conversation with a stranger. Though she is never one to start the conversation, Veda would never ignore a person; unless she was truly annoyed at the moment they spoke to her. However she is a hit- witch and therefore has the ability to detach herself from anything and anyone that she has emotional ties to. The mission always comes first with her, even if that means killing several people for the good of a larger population.
She likes honesty, and is always honest with people she knows and/or just met. However she is cautious about what she says and who she says it to. Although she has a carefree spirit and definitely is the rebellious side most people wish to have, Veda knows when to be serious and when to enjoy herself.
Overall, Veda is a human being. But she is conflicted with many things within her life. At times she has a short temper and she is very stubborn. She always believes she is right and always has something to say before admitting fault. She is good at what she does and is more than aware of it. When it comes to The Order, she is loyal and would never give up her fellow members under any circumstances. Yelling can sometimes be her favorite way to get her point across. However she is an implosive person. If she contains her anger (which rarely happens) for too long, she will explode and go on a tantrum.
When it comes to the opposite sex, Veda knows what she is doing. Whenever she has a certain interest in a man, she enjoys playing games with them before simply having a good time. However even though that was how she was during her younger days, life is getting short and love seems to be a possibility much sooner than later.

HISTORY: Veda was born into the Jordan family, a wealthy pure blood family known throughout the wizarding world. She grew up as youngest of the Jordan siblings with an older brother and sister. They were similar to her when it came to not caring about the pure bloods and accepting everyone as they were.
However this did not go well with her parents, especially her father. Her parents were loyal to the pure blood cause during the rise of the Dark Lord and tried their best (but failed) to promote their teachings and/or beliefs to their children. Because the majority of the wizarding world was beginning a realize a potential threat, the Jordan family were always those of pride in who they were and where they came from. Therefore they saw no reason to not support Voldemort.
Once Veda was eleven, she was accepted into Hogwarts and got into the Gryffindor house. It was considered a disgrace to her parents, more so to her father. He assumed she would be a Slytherin because of her name and lineage. Veda of course can be cunning but never towards the disadvantage of another. She then befriended a muggle born during her second year, something her father was completely against. He hit her across her back with his wand, a curse that made sure she "learned her lesson". But once her older brother discovered what their father did to his beloved sister, he made sure to protect her in any way, shape or form.
Since then, Veda had been raised by her older brother Orion. He taught her the realities of the wizarding world and made her learn about tolerance and acceptance. However her permanent scar that her father gave her was a constant reminder of her pain, anger and hatred. Before her bother even knew what was going on, she was beat on a consistent basis whenever she came home for a holiday or a weekend visit. As she grew older into a young woman, Veda became a stronger person both is spirit and attitude. She began studying Defense Against the Dark Arts and Dueling, something her brother encouraged completely. It wasn't until her fourth year that her brother took her away from their parents and he legally became her guardian.
Now, Veda is a hit-witch for the Order of the Phoenix. She learned about their creed and accepted their cause with open arms. She proved herself to be a good soldier and worthy adversary. But through her travels, she met Crispin Warrington. The two gained a mutual respect and attraction however Veda was never going to admit it. But then he began to reveal doubts and dislike towards his arranged marriage and he seemed to be wanting Veda instead of his fiancee. This made her conflicted and now, she still doesn't know what she wants to do.

It was finally Christmas break and snow was practically everywhere around the castle. Rigel was never a fan of winter, however her birthday was the only thing she did look forward to. Unfortunately it had already past only two weeks, but Jace and Mikayla had made it wonderfully memorable. Now she was back home with them at the Greyson Farm. It was odd thinking of it as home since she had only spent summers and winter break there. However it was her place to be when not at Hogwarts almost ten months out of the year. It was sad to any outsider looking at how little Rigel and Jace saw each other. At first, Rigel didn't believe it would really work. After Jace was able to calm her down and he usually did, he explained it rationally and made her see that everything would be OK. Eventually she would be able to see him almost everyday once he became a real auror with his own schedule. For now, he was still learning the ropes and she understood that completely.
On the other hand, Mikayla was always around and Rigel was definitely happy for the opportunity to spend time with the girl. Of course Mikayla was still distant, however after several years she was able to open up little by little. Since their discussion in the astronomy tower, they resumed their original hellos and goodbye greetings. Rigel remained professional during class as well as after since Mikayla didn't seem to want help or guidance in anything. Rigel understood that more than the Ravenclaw girl knew. Sometimes a girl just had to find her way all by herself. And when it came to Rigel, she was a seasoned veteran of it.
Being back on the farm always brought warmth to the professor's heart. The cobblestone house was quite large, as well as the land surrounding it. Jace's father seemed to had done well in the muggle world. Many muggle contraptions were around the house like a stove and a telephone. Rigel recognized the phone from her Muggle Studies class back in her fourth year. It was boring mostly however she was able to retain at least something. The most fascinating muggle invention was the automobile. Rigel had always seen one when traveling London but had never known how they worked or what they actually did. She couldn't help but squeal with delight when Jace drove her into town just so she could be in her first real "car". Since then she grew a fascination of learning how to drive it but never could get the right amount of push on the gas before it stalled on her. It was a work in progress.
Most of her winter break was normally spent on schoolwork. She had to assign at least one scroll before and after the holidays. Her students were probably going to hate her for it, especially Mikayla, but it wasn't a difficult assignment if one dedicated an afternoon. In the meantime, Rigel was done grading almost all of the scrolls and now that night had fallen it was time to enjoy the evening with her family. Family. It was something she wasn't really able to say before. It was all rather new to her considering she was shunned by her birth family. It had been years since she last spoke to her brothers. Her little sister Patrica was seventeen now and about to graduate from Beaubatons. Rigel missed her siblings more than anything, but they weren't reachable. Last time she tried to find them her older brothers Andrew and Orion were missing and their youngest brother Raoul was at a magic school in Romania. That was years ago though, when Rigel was banished from the Serpens household after she graduated from Hogwarts...
Grabbing some hot chocolate, another muggle invention but extremely delicious, Rigel put on her thick snow boots and trotted out to the swinging bench. She smiled at the little scene, Jace sitting there with his hair tied and surrounded by animals. She couldn't help but smirk. "Are you the male Snow White?" she asked with a giggle. It's only because Mikayla was watching Disney several years ago that Rigel knows of such a tale. Back then Mikayla was much more open to Rigel ironically. However once she grew up and saw things for what they were... Rigel brushed it out of her mind for the time being. "Honestly it's no wonder you always smell horrible," she continued. "The animals just can't get away from you." With that she giggled some more and handed her fiancee a large mug of hot chocolate before taking her seat next to him. She shivered a bit and sipped some of her own drink before tugging on the blanket he had around him. "You're woman is cold. Oblige her." She giggled again, this time with her infamous smirk and quickly kissed him to shut him up in case he had a retort. So far the break was good. And Rigel was glad to be "home" for now. The farm was a wonderful place. Isolated but open and beautiful. She didn't know when she would ever be able to truly call it her own, but for now she was content with having a hot chocolate with the love of her life, swinging on their bench and enjoying the company of Grey and Cymbeline.
