It's the Marauder's 6th year at Hogwarts; but it's not 1976. It's 2011.
In this modern day AU, the year's about the only thing that's changed.
Voldemort's out there gaining power, the Order is trying to fight him, and Wizards and Witches still have to attend school at Hogwarts. Most importantly, the Wizarding World is still the Wizarding World, with families breaking apart and growing closer together because of the war.
This RP is meant to be a bit on the lighter side, which means no massacres of students or a family member dying every day. However, there's a war going on out there, so a few deaths wouldn't be out of place.
There's no master plan or carefully orchestrated events outside of what's established in the books, so you're free to go a little crazy if you'd like.
